Marketing

The marketing branch is another exciting venue for members to experience. As one of the most popular branches of the club, marketing includes anything related to promoting it. It is divided into two departments, the Head of Finance and the Head of Institutional Search, two participants are elected for each department. The former is responsible for handling the finances involved in collecting and forwarding the acquired amount to be deposited into the club’s bank account. The member responsible keeps the financial history of the club through an Excel spreadsheet shared with the club’s leaders. This money is used to pay for expenses of club gatherings such as pizza day or help pay for speakers who are invited to give presentations about their experience working in some sector of the sports industry. The Head of Institutional Search is responsible for looking for other organizations to collaborate with. 

 

Since journalism works directly with publications, students in the Marketing branch generate revenue for the club through bake sales while also taking care of the club’s finances. Members will determine who will bake and bring the prepared foods to be sold before school games. This was designed both to collect funds for GSE as well as to promote Graded’s sports events. By selling baked goods, students become informed of possible games they are unaware of and want to watch. 

 

Like the other branches, Marketing follows the same method of electing different leaders after each semester. The election consists of each participant’s vote. Two members are elected for each of the Finance and Institutional Search departments.
